                                 Experience

More than twenty years experience in treating children and families.

Currently, I have a private practice where I write child custody evaluations and various other reports, administer hypnosis, relaxation therapy, and psychological therapy. I conduct training sessions in family and adolescent issues and behavioral theory, I teach parenting classes, work with adolescent suicide intervention, work with adults suffering from depression and anxiety disorders, and couples having difficulty with their relationship.

I was trained by the LA Superior Court to do child custody evaluations in a fair and unbiased manner that met with their highest expectations and legal requirements.  I am currently on the LA Superior Court referral list.

My previous experience includes The Sycamores in Pasadena California with (SED) children who were unable to attend public school because of discipline and emotional problems where I taught training sessions for the teachers, staff and parenting.

I interned at The Switzer Center for one year in Torrance California.  My responsibilities consisted of therapy for SED, learning disabled and abused Teens.  I was also responsible for the Psychological Assessments and Evaluation of 6 to 8 Students.

I also completed an internship with Robert Johansen, Ph.D. at Cerritos Psychological Center.  There I conducted family and child psychotherapy, taught parenting classes and conducted family and group therapy.  My first internship was at Cedars-Sinai Medical where I worked in the therapeutic nursery school with SED children and their families.

While attending school to receive my degrees, I ran a daycare for special needs children from my home.  These were physically or mentally handicapped children that needed specialized care while the parents were at work.  I ran this daycare for three years and gained valuable experience with autism, ADD, and developmentally challenged children.

Before that I trained for and ran a Montessori class for first and second grade children.  It was a five year period which gave me a good basis for the training and education of children and their parents.

Finally, I have successfully raised two children of my own and they excelled at school, despite a language disorder, and both have a very positive outlook and solid positive experience with life.  I am still married to their father with a strong love, and feel that I know what a functional family should be like because of all our positive experiences.
