I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California.My specialty is working with children and families. I do well with challenging cases and now am focusing my practice on writing Child Custody Evaluations. My training at LA Superior Court makes me impartial to parents and emphasizes what is best for the children. Only after examining all the sides and facts can the true best interest of children be met. My training as a family psychologist helps me sort through the emotional chaos that often comes with these cases and leads me to fair workable recommendations that will most benefit the child or children caught up in this unfair situation. To date 100% of my evaluations have stood up in court with no challenges. I was trained as an Evaluator by the LA Superior Court.I have written and consulted on several out of court child custody evaluations on behalf of parents who do not wish to participate in a full legal battle of shared custody at a substantial savings. I have also conducted hundreds of workers compensation evaluations for insurance companies, as well as, detailed progress reports to the patients primary care doctors. This gives me a great deal of experience in writing reports for legal situations as well as for insurance companies and agreeable out of court solutions. The primary and most important objective to all custody cases is the well fare of the children. In order to insure the best outcome for the children, I must collect unbiased facts from parents, friends, neighbors, associates, teachers, and other interested parties. The LA Superior Court stresses unbiased collection of data because there are always very emotional circumstances surrounding these cases. I must not be influenced by my own life prejudice or that of those I interview, and it will never be my opinions that effect the outcome. My reports have only the facts and a Judge will make the finally decision based on the findings in the report. Be aware that several in home visits will be required as well as interviews with daycare providers, doctors, social workers, neighbors, and other non family members that can enlighten the family values, habits, and living conditions. All discoveries and reports are strictly confidential with the exception of imminent harm or felony child endangerment which must by law be reported. In the case of formal child custody evaluations, that are used in court, I require a $7000 retainer fee paid in advance. Out of court evaluations start at $3000.
